Descriptive Writing .

Malo Lelei and Talofa Lava my name is Renee. I am a faithful girl who goes to church on Sunday. I am also a great leader, who is a member of the student council at the school I go to, Tamaki Primary School. I am blessed with a wonderful family who loves me and I love them. I am a amicable, gracious and mature young adult.  One of my  favourite subjects in school is Maths and Reading.

My Mom is a full Tongan and my Dad is a full Tongan too. I have a twin sister who is silent like a mouse and I in the other hand is like a dog barking in everyone’s ear. She doesn’t like playing sports, she just likes playing instruments, and I on the other hand likes playing sports and does not like playing instrument expect for playing the piano. My mum works at  ANZ  Bank and my Dad is a part-time Father and part time working  as a security guard.

I am part of the Tamaki Community. In my community it is a peaceful area where people come and people go. People go shopping in rich places, swimming in blue water, eating in fancy restaurant and having fun. On Saturday the malls are crowded and so many event happening like sports going on and parties going on all night that  happens because it is a day off to most of the people in our community. In my community we are part of the Manaiakalani.

My sporting interest includes netball, touch, softball and many other sports, but my favourite sport is tennis because I go to a club, which represents Mt Wellington and Panmure district. I am a three time champion in tennis. My cultural interest is going and play (tolopato) that means people will stay in the middle and two on the side the other two people will have to throw a ball or food. My hobbies mostly includes reading when I have nothing to do, when I am outside I play handball or tennis (obviously)  and when I am in the beach I like to bury myself in the sand.

One of my biggest fears in Tamaki is not achieving my goals. One of my biggest hopes are to become a professional tennis player. I want to go to university of ASU (American Sports University) to accomplish my goals. This is me and how I live my life.

Net book Reflection

                                                        Net book Reflection 2012

What has school been like this year with a net book?

Net books been quite easy this year because we get to connect to other people on they blog from other places and it is much easy because we don't have to come with a pen and ruler. We can correct our mistake compare it to our book if we have a mistake we have to rub it off and that will just make our books look ugly.

Some people went on games and that caused the internet to go slow. They made it hard to do our work, so we put    in a rule about not playing games. Now the internet speed is good again and we are learning more.

We can show our  working to the world by puting it to our blog. Sometimes we have to check the website so we can know it is reliable.  If I go to another school with no net book. I will not like because I am use with net books and it won't be easy if you want to research  something.

Taekwondo

At Taekwon Do we learnt how to break boards. We were breaking two types of boards. One is hard the other one was easy. We first tried the easy one , then the hard one . Then we put both of the boards on top of each other and tried to break them both at the same time . The first one was easy but the second one was hard, but the hardest was two boards together.
Through our lesson in taekwondo we always start with a warm up before we begin. We practice our kicks we learnt how to do the turning kick. The turning kick is performed with either the ball of the foot. A jumping front kick is a variation of a front kick and is performed by lifting the back leg, raising the front knee, and kicking with the front leg. A reverse turning kick is performed by spinning, chambering your leg, and straightening it out to kick with the heel.
When we were breaking the boards, I was really scared at first and then when we were  breaking the boards I didn’t even feel scared but when it was the time to break two boards I didn’t want too because I thought I would break my toes.
