1. A book cost Harry $10.00. His Uncle paid for 1/2 of it. How much Harry paid? 
answer= $5.00
Because Harry's Uncle paid half of it and half of 10 is 5, so the answer is 5.
2.Harry got $25.00 for  his birthday money. His Grandpa gave him a 1/5 of this. How much did she give him?
answer=$5.00
1/5 of 25=5
25 divided by 5 = 5
5x1=5
3.Harry was 120 cm tall. His little brother was a 1/3 of his height. How tall was Harry's brother?
answer=40 cm
1/3 of 120
120 divided by 3= 40
40x1=40
4.Harry walked 4 km to school. A 1/2 of the way to school was a sweet shop. How far was it from Harry's house to the sweet shop?
answer=1 km
1/4 of 4
4 divided by 4=1
1x1= 1
5.Harry's class had 30 pupils in it. A 1/10 are going on a school trip. How many pupils are not going on the trip?
answer=3 pupils
1/10 of 30 
30 divided by 10=3

6.Harry paid $40.00 to see the the movie Transformers. His aunty paid  1/8 of the price. How much did Harry pay?

40 divided by 8=5

7.There were 40.00 people watching the Transformers movie. 1/5 of them were boys. How many boys were watching the movie?
answer=$5.00
